QD Inner Beauty InjectionGangnam, Seoul
The QD Inner Beauty Injection is QD Clinic’s own combination, listed on our treatment menu as “white jade + Cinderella + vitamin C injection”. It is not a single approved combination product but three injections given together, so the approved indications and contraindications of glutathione, thioctic acid and ascorbic acid all apply. Skin whitening is not an approved indication for any of the three; only vitamin C carries conditional wording related to pigmentation. At QD Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea, consultation helps determine which options suit your concerns.

Who it’s for
- You want to know exactly what goes into the Inner Beauty Injection
- You have already had one of the three and want to ask about the difference
- You have diabetes, kidney stones or gout and want to check whether it is safe
“Inner Beauty” is a name the clinic has given to this combination; it does not mean it is a medicine approved for cosmetic effects.
How it works
The Inner Beauty Injection is three injections given together. The composition on our treatment menu is the white jade injection (glutathione), the Cinderella injection (thioctic acid) and the vitamin C injection (ascorbic acid). Their approved indications in Korea are, respectively, drug poisoning and improving liver function in chronic liver disease (100mg), relief of diabetic polyneuropathy (600mg product), and vitamin C deficiency, among others. We could not find official data on the stability of mixing the three, and because thioctic acid is unstable in light, the diluted solution is to be shielded from light.
THE MECHANISM, STEP BY STEP
01Composition
Per our treatment menu: white jade (glutathione) + Cinderella (thioctic acid) + vitamin C (ascorbic acid).
02Approval status
It is not an approved combination product bundling the three. The label of each separately approved injection applies.
03Combined contraindications
All three ingredients’ contraindications must be avoided — e.g. children and adolescents for thioctic acid, and calcium oxalate kidney stones, gout and G6PD deficiency for ascorbic acid.
04Preparation precautions
Thioctic acid is unstable in light, so the diluted infusion is to be shielded with aluminum foil or similar.
Treatment areas
- Discuss at consultation
- We check whether any of the three ingredients is contraindicated for you — especially blood-sugar medication (thioctic acid) and kidney stones, gout or G6PD (vitamin C).
- Medical assessment
- We talk about how it differs from having the three injections separately, and why you want them together.
- Before treatment
- We check whether you have reacted to any of the three before, so that if a problem arises we can tell what caused it.
What the procedure is like
- 1Medical history — blood-sugar medicines; kidneys, gout, G6PD; previous injection reactions
- 2Explanation of the three-ingredient composition
- 3Infusion with light shielding and controlled speed
- 4Check after the infusion
The 600mg thioctic acid product is approved for infusion over at least 12 minutes, so giving the three ingredients together cannot take less time than that. The actual time is explained at your consultation.
Recovery & aftercare
- If you feel dizzy after the infusion, rest for a while before getting up.
- If you take blood-sugar medication, don’t skip meals.
- If a reaction occurs, noting the time and taking photos helps work out the cause.
What to expect over time
A general guide to how the days and months after treatment usually unfold. Results vary by individual.
During infusion Reactions to the three ingredients
The labels list reactions such as a rush of blood to the head (thioctic acid), flushing and headache (vitamin C) and rare drops in blood pressure (glutathione).
Right after Low blood sugar and dizziness
If you take blood-sugar medication, we check especially for dizziness and sweating.
After you get home Delayed reactions
If you get a rash, an upset stomach or flank pain, let the clinic know so we can work out which ingredient caused it.
Sessions & results
Our treatment menu has a single session and 5 sessions. None of the three ingredients has evidence for a set number of sessions for cosmetic purposes, so we decide each time, based on your condition, whether to repeat it.

Frequently asked questions
According to QD Clinic’s treatment menu, three injections: the white jade injection (glutathione), the Cinderella injection (thioctic acid) and the vitamin C injection (ascorbic acid). We will tell you the actual products and strengths at your consultation. The three ingredients have different approved indications in Korea; skin whitening is approved for none of them, and only vitamin C carries a conditional wording on pigmentation.
No. It is not a combination product approved as one; it is three separately approved injections given together. That is why the labels and contraindications of all three ingredients apply.
The benefit is convenience — one visit. On the other hand, if a reaction occurs, it may be hard to tell which ingredient caused it. We found no official evidence that the effects add up.
If one of the three is contraindicated for you or you have reacted to it before, it must be left out. In that case, rather than the Inner Beauty combination, we discuss having the relevant injections separately. For example, if you take diabetes medication we look first at the thioctic acid, and if you have kidney stones, gout or G6PD deficiency we look first at the vitamin C.
Because it is paced to the ingredient that must be given most slowly. The thioctic acid in the Cinderella injection has a maximum infusion speed set in its label, and vitamin C can also cause dizziness if given fast, so we don’t rush. The exact time depends on that day’s composition.
