Cryo does not get rid of redness. If you have a skin condition that causes persistent redness, medical treatment comes first.
How it works
What sets Premium apart is the “5 minutes of cryo” after clearing. Skin cleared with suction and solutions can turn red and warm for a while. Premium cools it straight afterwards with cryo (a cooling device) for 5 minutes, then moves on to 10 minutes of Omega LED and finishes with a mask. It does not clear more aggressively — it spends more time calming the skin after clearing.
THE MECHANISM, STEP BY STEP
01The first half is the same as Basic
Clearing with X-Lotion 1, 2 and 3 is the same as in Basic. It is not a stronger clearing.
02Cryo, 5 minutes
A cooling device cools skin that has heated up right after clearing. On QD Clinic’s treatment menu, cryo is also classed as a calming treatment device.
03The same 10 minutes of LED
LED time is the same 10 minutes as in Basic. The extra time comes from the cryo step.
04Finishing with a mask
It finishes with a mask rather than a sheet mask. We tell you which mask on the day.

Sessions & results

Frequently asked questions
Cryo comes after clearing is done, so it does not reduce what you feel during clearing. What makes Premium different is the extra time spent cooling skin that has heated up right after clearing. If it stings or burns during clearing, tell us right away. We adjust the suction and rubbing time to what your skin can tolerate that day.
If redness lasted more than a few hours after a previous treatment, Premium may suit you better. But if your constant redness is caused by a skin condition such as rosacea, medical treatment comes first, whichever care you choose. Cryo does not take redness away, so after the mask we check together how much redness remains before you leave.
If you have ever had hives from cold or your fingers have turned white, be sure to tell us in advance. In that case, we discuss switching to Basic, which has no cryo. During cryo, too, tell us right away if the cold becomes painful or it hurts. A brief cold or tingling sensation may linger after cooling.
On our treatment menu, Basic finishes with a sheet mask and Premium with a mask. The finishing step is changed after cooling with cryo, and we show you the mask on the day of your treatment. The clearing with X-Lotion 1, 2 and 3 and the 10 minutes of Omega LED are the same in both.
Please check at your consultation about changing the composition mid-course and how remaining sessions are handled. If your skin has settled and cryo no longer seems necessary, we will tell you first. At each session we look together at how much redness remains after the mask, and depending on that response we may change the composition or adjust the interval.
